Say Dyslexia At the BC Legislature, October 3 2023

On October 3, 2023, a significant assembly of individuals and families impacted by dyslexia converged at the BC Legislature in Victoria. The purpose of this gathering was to reaffirm the sense of community and support among those affected by dyslexia and to emphasize the collective desire for change. Dyslexia BC organized this event with the hope that it would capture the attention of policymakers and encourage them to prioritize dyslexia-specific legislation, policies, and funding support.

While immediate results may not have been achieved at the "Say Dyslexia at the BC Legislature" event, the participants firmly believe that they have set the groundwork for enduring change in the future. This gathering served as a powerful reminder that those affected by dyslexia in British Columbia are united in their determination to bring about much-needed improvements in the support and services available for dyslexic individuals and their families.
