Helping you advocate and get the IEP & resources you need
Dyslexia BC is a parent-led grassroots movement within British Columbia concerned with the limited access to educational interventions for dyslexia within the public and private education systems. Dyslexia BC became an organized movement in the spring of 2014. Our mission is to raise dyslexia awareness, empower families and individuals to support their children and themselves, and inform policy-makers on best practices to identify, remediate and support students with dyslexia.
Dyslexia BC helps parents, students and adults with dyslexia and other learning disabilities advocate and find resources within their communities. We are happy to help parents and individuals advocate specifically for their personal needs, but also try to organize and coordinate efforts to inform the BC Ministry and policy makers about the needs of individuals with dyslexia and other learning disabilities in British Columbia.
Dyslexia BC's mission is to empower parents and individuals with dyslexia and other language based learning disabilities to gain full access to the resources they need to be successful and reach their potential.
